Essex waste partnership down to three

Essex County Council and Southend Borough Council have named the three organisations which will be invited to submit proposals for the procurement of a £100m PFI funded waste project.

The three selected were chosen from a list of six who submitted outline solutions for the treatment of residual waste. The short listed companies in the running are: Resources from Waste, Skanska Cory and Urbaser

The final three will now be asked to develop their solutions for further discussions with the council. The council expect to announce a preferred bidder before the end of 2011.
