Preferred bidder for Wolverhampton BSF
Wolverhampton City Council has appointed InspiredSpaces as the preferred bidder for their Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme.
InspiredSpaces beat Environments for Learning to the £370m contract which will see the rebuild and redevelopment of all 26 Wolverhampton schools who serve secondary aged pupils.
Councillor Patten said: "We have been fortunate in having two extremely good bidders to work with, each of whom has a proven track record of success.
"However InspiredSpaces has convinced us that it has the vision, determination and capacity to work with is to rebuild or refurbish all of our schools in a way that will make a significant difference to teaching, learning and the future prosperity of our city."
Tim Byles, Chief Executive of Partnerships for Schools, said: "I am pleased that Wolverhampton City Council has appointed a selected bidder for its BSF project. This is an important milestone and means that the council can progress with its plans to design and refurbish the area’s schools which will benefit the lives of not only school pupils but local communities as a whole."
It is anticipated that work will start on the first projects during the summer.
