Two selected for Wandsworth BSF

Two bidders have been selected by The London Borough of Wandsworth to go through to the final stage of the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme.

Bovis Lend Lease Ltd and Willmott Dixon Ltd have been selected to go through to the final stages of the £300m programme.

The two companies will now enter into further dialogue with the council and will be asked to submit their final bids in the summer and produce detailed plans for investment in the two sample schools.

The sample schools will be the first to be transformed under the programme and outline planning permission for both has already been granted.

A preferred bidder is expected to be announced by the end of July with a view of the work to start in spring 2011.
