Wigan and Salford BSF deal closes

The Transform and Learning Partnership has reached financial close on phase one of the Wigan and Salford Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme.

The £400m contract is part of the government's £45bn nationwide programme and will see six schools redeveloped in the north- west area.

The consortium which includes Laing O'Rourke and Hochtief will eventually redevelop and refurbish more than 20 schools across the two councils.
